Hey, that's tonight! Improv! Sketch! Stand-up! And the infamous Gangbusters! charity auction!
Here's the one that didn't get finished yesterday. The above GIF is from my low-res, low-quality test render that took a mere 41 minutes to output. That'll have to do since my full-res render is only 20% complete after the first 7 hours. These kind of render times leave me feeling equal parts inconvenienced and nostalgic.
I appreciate that the presenter wanted me to learn about different things, but liquid wood is an odd choice.
I didn't get through the project I started this afternoon in the office, so I started a new one at night. I think I got a lot out of this one, and some good leads on things to investigate.
I took a very project-oriented approach to learning about After Effects: decide to make a thing and then learn how to make that thing. So far Cinema 4D has been different, completely scattershot, fun. The internet is jam packed with interesting resources and I don't have any immediate goals to direct my studies, so I'm just going to keep making little things and we'll see if eventually I get good at this.
I'll have you know I'm personally responsible for almost ½ of 1% of all of the projects in Kickstarter's "Projects We Love" category, between the video for Relatively Prime Season Three and this video for the Antaeus Theatre Company and all of their famous friends.
Give them your money today. Or, (why not) give it to me!
